The Kissimmee center is about the area of Osceola Regional Medical Center and the area of Doctors Surgery Center.
If you're looking for an optimal time to visit Kissimmee, go for September. It's the very end of summer and most schools have started back up again, which means the family crowds will be relatively sparse when compared with the rest of the year. For the same reason, weekdays during October are also a good choice. The holiday season is one of the most magical, and expensive, times you can visit Disney. The parks go all-out with decorations, and everything is truly as much of a winter wonderland as it can be in the middle of warm and humid Florida. However, booking a room anywhere near Disney at this time of year can become cost prohibitive the closer you get to Christmas and New Year's. If you're looking for a more affordable experience, Christmas at Disney isn't the best time to book.Spring and summer, anywhere from April until August, are Disney's high season, which means Kissimmee gets more crowded and hotel rates go up. Florida is also extremely hot and humid during July and August, though if you're planning on visiting a water park, the heat is probably a good thing.
The Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Orlando Airport offers both an AAA discount and a military/government discount. With the discount, military and government employees can get a king suite with a whirlpool bath for under $100 per night, depending on the season. The Buena Vista Suites in Orlando offers AAA, AARP, and military discounts. The AAA and senior discounts are slightly more than the military discount, but all three apply on the same rooms. Get a one-bedroom suite with two queen beds, or a one-bedroom suite with a king bed and a jacuzzi tub for a discount. Florida residents also receive the same discount rate as AAA and AARP members.

It's close to the center of Kissimmee, so you'll be near many attractions, not just the Disney Parks. You won't get free breakfast, but each cottage comes with a kitchenette. For true value, try either the Liki Tiki Village by Diamond Resorts or the Summer Bay Orlando by Exploria Resorts. Both are three-and-a-half-star properties where you can find a room for under $70 per night during the low season. Weather, attractions, restaurants And the shopping were great.
Disney was awesome great hotel rooms and accommodations.
Good place and accommodations.
There is nothing about Kissimmee I like. Traffic is terrible. The town is not very clean at all. Be very careful where you walk. The farther west or north of I4 and 192 you go the better.
Close to Disney & lots of shopping stores!
Great hotel accommodations.
Eating on Disney property was nice, but also the Golden Corral in Kissimmee had excellent service. The city seem to be clean and safe. We went to the Walmart in Kissimmee late every night after 11:00PM with ease.

Kissimmee borders on America's play land. There are wonderful theme parks, restaurants and beautiful weather!
I liked how close and convenient everything is. When traveling with a group you don't have time to run back and forth.
We did not go anywhere except for Universal and Disney World. Clean, nice, friendly town.
It is near Disney World. Lots of restaurants and shopping to choose.
Nice city but too crowded.
Fun time by all
Fun time for all ages!
Medieval Times was a great experience!
There was so much to do within walking distance. We also took a bus trip to the Victory Cruise Casino. For those of us that didn't leave the hotel on Saturday, we sat around the pool area, grilled, and some family members went in different directions on Saturday. We all had a great time.
We went to the Old Town amusement park which was fun. Great outdoor shopping and food options also there.
The city is clean and nice and quiet.
Very close to Disney. Enjoyed the city.
We found it easy to get around. Good stores & services nearby.
What I liked about the city of Kissimmee: everything was close by, the restaurants, the markets, etc. I appreciated that a lot. It was only about 5 minutes from Osceola Regional Medical Center which my dad had to have a procedure done, the VA has a wing there to treat their veterans.
Lots of places to eat, but avoid Capone's Dinner & Show which has a lousy buffet and a terrible show. It has certainly gotten worse since I went there several years ago.
There are many types of restaurants and gift shops to choose from.
It was a great "staycation" since I live in the area.
The city of Kissimmee didn't really have too much to offer for our families' needs, but Orlando was literally 20 minutes away, so it was perfect.
Lots of great shopping, I live in Lake Worth, Fl and I would drive 2 hrs just to go shopping! Lots of fun things to do!!!
Didn't really explore Kissimmee. Celebration, FL was beautiful though.
Kissimmee is a super location, you have everything very close by. I travel frequently with groups and finding stores and restaurants close by and affordable is always a problem. Kissimmee is the exception, you have everything at your fingertips. I have stayed in other areas such as International Dr and Lake Buena Vista but this year I specifically shopped for a hotel in Kissimmee because it is so convenient.
Liked the Disney themed shopping. Loved the weather and beautiful palm trees!!
I was there for a collector car auction, but what struck me is the city appears "over commercialized".
Lots to do. Great for families. More than just Disney to go to.
Many places to eat and shop.
