"Hotel Experience Average Due To Hotel Transitioning To New Ownership"

Accommodations were okay, but a lot of confusion with check-in because the hotel changed owners prior to our arrival. A lot of issues with the phone system during the transition. Difficult to reach the front desk to make reservations for several weeks. Checking in was very unorganized. Our group had to wait an excessive amount of time in line because of the problems with the hotel change over and communication between front desk staff and housekeeping staff regarding whether rooms were ready for guests to check in. Check-in began at 4 PM and it was almost 6 PM when our group finished. Some of the names were not transferred to the new system when the hotel changed owners so no record of the reservations could be found. Not enough wash cloths in most rooms. We were told that the new hotel policy only permitted two wash cloths per room. Most of our 41 rooms had more than two people in them. We were permitted four people per room, but only allowed to have two wash cloths. The rooms were clean and nice for the price, but the wash cloth policy was a bit ridiculous given the number of people in the rooms. This policy was not explained prior to arrival to our group coordinator so members of the group could not be informed prior to arrival. Hopefully, service and policies will be better once the transition is completed. We had an okay stay overall, but the issues listed above made for a rocky beginning. This place could be very nice if these issues are addressed and corrected.

We have recently signed a contract with a new supplier that will provide us improved cleaning products for all linens, bedding, towels, etc. This should eliminate any issues with stains or coloring. Our housekeeping staff is also initiating a check-list for all housekeeping staff to check linens, bedding and other items as rooms are cleaned for the next arrival. Thank you for your feedback.

Ownership and staff were overwhelmed that weekend. The rooms not ready for check in at 7:00 PM and were still being hurriedly prepared for the next guests. Some rooms were okay and others were in worse condition. The food was also very average.

"The Good and the Bad."

The rooms were good. Check in was horrible. Called several times before checking in to make sure keys were ready. Upon arrival they were not. Front desk had to call manager, Lamont Ford, to make keys. Lamont Ford told us directly that we would not be charged for adults watching kids in water park. We were charged an extra $340 which is pending a refund. First breakfast the restaurant had no idea they had a group coming in. Second day was fine. Management did not inform housekeeping of rooms with triple and quad occupancy. Did not have enough linens for everyone. Management at this hotel is lacking, the staff has not been trained for group travel. This is not a group friendly hotel.
