We stayed at this hotel twice in a four day period. Had we not had a pre paid reservation, we would not have stayed the second time. We dealt with four front desk clerks over this time and only one had half a clue as to what they were doing. We have stayed at HIE numerous times over the years but I think this will be the last. Plus, your breakfast of cheese omelets and turkey sausage ducks. How about just some scrambled eggs and bacon?.

This is clearly a five Star Hotel. The location is perfect. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance and the neighborhood is very safe. The grounds are an oasis and beautiful. A great place to go outside and have coffee. The rooms are impeccable, the staff exceptionally kind and thoughtful. I knew I was leaving after midnight, so the staff prepared my discharge paperwork for me. As I was leaving, a bus full of Cruise Ship travelers were there to spend the night prior to boarding their ship. It was madness and the noise deafening. I had already prechecked out with the desk and was just dropping off my key passes. The staff were in total control, the guests were not. But the staff knew what to do and were moving things along impeccably. I wrangled my way to the desk and put my keys/cards on the desk. I felt so sorry for the staff that were doing everything they could for the travelers. The staff never lost their cool. They were professional and kept everything in order. I was in the presence of greatness.

I was in town for a visit with family. I needed a place close to the port. This location is perfect. Stores and shopping in walking distance, with a great grocery store as well as cafes and restaurants. Plus, a major hospital is blocks away if you need it. This hotel is beautiful, polite, immaculate, professional and a hidden gem on a busy street.

Holiday Inn Express Fort Lauderdale Hotel is located in the heart of it all! We are within minutes to Fort Lauderdale Beach, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas, Riverwalk and Fort Lauderdale International Airport. We offer a 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle to and from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. We are located just one block from the North entrance of Port Everglades, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center. We are within walking distance to many restaurants and shops some of which are local favorites. Guests can hop on the Sun Trolley bus to Fort Lauderdale Beach or to the Galleria Mall right from the front of our hotel! Enjoy a tour of the Venice of America on the Water Taxi...just a 5 minute walk to the nearest stop. Our beautiful, newly renovated guest rooms are decorated with warm autumn colors! Each room is equipped with in-room coffeemaker, hairdryer, electronic door lock, iron/ironing board, 37" cable TV (70 channels with HBO), alarm clock radio, touch-tone telephone with voicemail and spacious sleeping area. Enjoy a unique hot buffet breakfast experience at our new Express Start Breakfast Bar served every morning in our lobby from 6:30am-9:30am.
