United States Route 101 serves as the village's main street. The land originally belonged to the Siletz Tribe and was several communities incorporated into Lincoln City throughout the early 1900s. The town officially became Lincoln City, after Abraham Lincoln, in 1965 and gained its namesake from the suggestions of local school kids. Today, it's home to just over 8,000 residents.

Shopping in Lincoln City consists mostly of locally owned shops and boutiques. The Lincoln City Outlets includes dozens of outlet stores from popular retailers from American Eagle Outfitters to Zumiez, and everything in between.

Seafood lovers will delight in the amount of eateries offering fresh dishes from the ocean. There are several seafood restaurants among the casual dining choices in the town. Most of your dining options are locally owned, unique eateries. If you're craving Mexican, Italian, or Chinese, Lincoln City has those cuisines too.
