The Michelangelo is a 4 Star Deluxe, 4 Diamond hotel located within steps from Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Broadway theaters, Museum of Modern Art, major corporations and many cultural and entertainment venues. Nearby are America's most exclusive boutiques and shopping addresses of 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. Authentic Italian flair throughout every facet of its operation, service and presentation, The Michelangelo is a truly unique hotel reminiscent of an Italian Villa. Its lobby is a magnificent space enriched with Italian marble, original paintings and a dramatic crystal chandelier. Italian and European artwork adorns both public and private spaces. Fine “Made in Italy” furniture, Murano glass and imported lush velvets and silks are utilized throughout. The Michelangelo Staff is friendly, discrete and professional allowing its guests to feel welcomed, comfortable and safe in their home in New York.
The Michelangelo offers 123 hotel guest rooms, 56 suites. All its accommodations are designed with an Italian and European ambiance. Cherry wood furniture is punctuated with black accents and brass mounts. All rooms feature specially designed and woven fabrics imported from Italy, plus coffered ceilings and crown moldings. Guest rooms are among the largest in the city and many include marble foyers, sitting area, king size beds, two television sets, full-length mirrors and mini-bars. Bathrooms are floored in Italian marble and include 55 gallons soaking bathtubs, bidets, extra-large monogrammed 100% plush terry bathrobes, cotton and linen towels, an array of imported toiletries, as well as hair dryers and make-up mirrors. Each guest room has a multi-line phone system, featuring voice mail and speaker phone, high speed internet, Bose stereo CD players and pay per view in-room movies. The Michelangelo maintains non-smoking rooms.
