We enjoyed our stay here. Our room had an obstructed view, but the staff was very accommodating and we were able to move to a full ocean view room. Gorgeous sunsets, close to hiking and the elephant seals and their restaurant has delicious food. The room was a bit run down but clean, quiet, comfy beds and great shower. We will go back again for sure!

We stayed here for two nights as part of our 10 year anniversary or "Second Honeymoon." We absolutely loved the view of the ocean off of our own private veranda. Very romantic. Drinking coffee early in the morning while looking at the ocean as the cool morning air sweeps in? It doesn't get better than that. The room itself was very spacious along with the bed, we had a sitting area, TV, fireplace, plenty of places to put our luggage, a coffee bar and a fridge that IS stocked with the resort's beverages that are available for purchase but we moved those aside when we needed to put some of our own refrigerated things in there. The bathroom area was also nice, with a small wardrobe for hanging clothes to avoid wrinkles. We had all the essentials needed for cleansing. Some cons: the hotel does not have any microwaves we couldn't heat up food as needed like we had thought. The TV didn't really work, though we didn't really care to watch much TV on vacation the WiFi is really slow and the connection comes in and out it is a bit loud on the grounds at night depending on if other guests are playing yard games the walls are mildly thin and we could hear neighboring guests coming in and out of their rooms. But everyone was seemingly respectful of the resort's quiet hours so none of that was a bother when we went to bed. The pools on sight are pretty nice heated at night and the hot tub relaxing. The resort's restaurant food was decent we ate there for dinner and had the salmon burger/burger and both were pretty satisfying. The resort is conveniently located near Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seal Vista Point and about 30 minutes from Morro Bay. Overall, a great location to see the surrounding area and a comfortable place to unwind after a long day of travel.
