Property description

This country alternative to Augusta hotels and motels is Maine's 1st certified "Environmental Leader" green lodging (2005), the recipient of the Maine Governors Award for Environmental Excellence (2004), named "Best Green B&B" by Yankee Magazine (2011), and One of 30 Great U.S. Inns by Travel+Leisure magazine (2002). The Inn is full of amenities for both the business and leisure traveler, including full bar service and a guest kitchen with 24/7 coffee/tea and baked goodies. Rooms are spacious and furnished with antiques, all with air conditioning and individually zoned heat control. Some rooms have HUGE two-person whirlpool tubs, gas fireplaces, and private outdoor decks. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Our sauna and outdoor hot tub are available for all guests. Each room has a private bath, 32" LCD cable television, DVD player, clock-radio with CD player-nature sounds-plug for MP3 player, telephone, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, and many little touches you will discover during your stay. Our full custom-cooked breakfast from a menu is included in your room rate, and is served from 7 to 9 am. You can even choose our own farm-fresh eggs cooked any way you like them. Escape and relax on our many acres of unspoiled rural beauty. Our farm of rolling fields and woods has everything from expansive views to a secluded spring-fed swimming hole to give you a taste of the real Maine. Enjoy our trails and continue to roam the adjacent 800 plus acre wildlife preserve with pristine pond for canoeing or fishing. We also have event facilities for casual meetings to full-service weddings with complete custom catering and bar service for groups of any size. All this at Maple Hill Farm is just minutes from varied dining opportunities and antique and specialty shops in the National Historic District of downtown Hallowell on the banks of the Kennebec River.
