Although only there for one night. Everything was neat and clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. Enjoyed staying there. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

I was extremely disappointed. I even recommended a friend stay here with us. I was so embarrassed when we checked in. We didn't get two queen beds and room was nasty. Found hairs on towels. The pull out bed was disgustingl The springs were poking out on the mattresses which was paper thin. Hotel wasn't clean at all. I would never stay here again.

New Downtown hotel opening Summer 2011, the Springhill Suites Birmingham/Downtown is located in the heart of downtown Birmingham adjacent to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham's Central Business District, and UAB Medical Center. At the intersection of 4th Avenue South and 20th Street, our location is just blocks from the Five Points South area, which offers some of Alabama's best dining, nightlife, and entertainment options. Our state of the art facility includes 24 hour food and beverage service, 42 inch HDTV's indoor pool and whirlpool, free wired and wireless high speed internet, conference facilities for up to 100 people, fitness center, free guest laundry, and a variety of guestroom and suite options to meet your short and long term needs.
