Great location!
Tarpon has some nice shops downtown and they have great restaurants, try Rusty Bellies right on the water. Fantastic food and drinks. It's an easy walk. Tarpon if you have the kids, they have some of that stuff for the young ones. For the adults, Dunedin and Indian Rocks are right down Alt 19. Plus, Tampa, St. Pete, all that is 30 minute drive if you want to see the 'big city'. Tarpon, I like the atmosphere. It's 'old' Florida, which won't make much sense to those who weren't there. But trust me. It's casual, laid back and full of fun stuff to do for the adults and the kids as well.

Great tourist town!
Good dockside restaurants where the locals go to. The Greek culture and restaurants were great. The local parks are nice and not overcrowded. There are good grocery stores and the traffic is not too bad.
