"Family Friendly, Oceanfront Hotel...."

My family and I actually had the pleasure of staying at this hotel recently at a very affordable rate. The hotel is in a good location and in the midst of the action. We were able to walk from the hotel to the restaurants and stores easily. I recommend spending the extra money if you can and go with an oceanfront room vs. ocean view as the full view was wonderful and to me it is well worth it! The outdoor oceanfront pool was heated and you can easily walk out onto the beach for a nice stroll. We were also able to watch the fireworks show that took place at the pier from the pool area which was nice. We found the hotel to family friendly and affordable and the ocean view is what really made it special for us. There might be fancier choices in Daytona however this hotel suited our needs well and we would definitely return.

I would not stay there again. Bathroom tub was rusty. Tiles were coming off the bathroom wall. Paint was old and peeling! Room was smelly. TV did not work until maintenance fixed it. Tub would not drain and almost flooded the room. Breakfast was average at best.

I can go to hotel and get cheaper rate. And get room I asked for with person. On phone. Thanks for wasting my time. What is point of customer service if u don't do your job.

We will not be returning to this hotel. The rooms and lobby were clean, but the hallways and stairways were filthy. During our stay the elevator broke leaving one elevator available for 11 floors. We were on the 7th floor and the stairway leading to the lobby was dirty and smelled. Our room was nice but outdated and the door to the room did not close properly. The pool stayed opened late even though it was supposed to close at 11:00 PM. Our room was directly above the pool and the kids in the pool were very noisy, keeping us awake. The pool and beach access though were great!

If you're looking for an affordable hotel on the beach, the Plaza Ocean Club is the answer. The pool is huge, the ocean is larger and the bar/restaurant is affordable and offers a hot breakfast buffet. The staff is friendly and the building is a short walk from Daytona Ocean Walk Shoppes. You'll want to walk to your destination because parking is an issue. There are about two dozen parking spots around the building, but the staff and guests never seem to leave their spots. There is overflow across the street, but without a traffic light crossing Atlantic Boulevard can be a daunting task. It seemed like there was no A/C in the halls, making them hot and stuffy when waiting for the elevators; and what a wait you'll have. Checkout is at 11 and it was so difficult getting an elevator up to the room I and my girlfriend were staying in (we were on the 10th floor) I was afraid we wouldn't have our stuff out of the room in time. Parking, slow elevators and lack of a jacuzzi aside, we had a blast during our stay. Plaza Ocean Club is the perfect distance from all the best Daytona attractions; far enough to be affordable, but close enough that walking to them is possible. I would stay here again, but not during the (very busy) first weekend of summer.
