Palm Beach is a world famous two-mile-long strip that is filled with restaurants, wonderful people, beach bars, shops, sports enterprises and hotels ranging from the luxurious to the more affordable ones. The calm water of the beach is perfect for swimmers and snorkelers of all ages. The coast is picture perfect during sunsets and sunrises painting a marvelous setting for romantics, health buffs and nature lovers. At dusk, the place becomes alive with the sights and sounds of the bars and people out to party the whole night long. It is located in the city of Aruba which is northwest of Oranjestad, Aruba's capital. Palm Beach has scores of high rise hotels and shopping districts. The boom of the tourism industry has been further enhanced with several five-star hotels and upscale malls in the area. Further development is still on-going. Early 2010, two major shopping centers have opened in the area. Tourists headed to Palm Beach must add to their itinerary the natural wonders of Arikok National Park, the Ayo rock formations, Indian caves and the Casibari. History lovers will have a great time at the Aruba Aloe Factory, Alto Vista Chapel, the museums in downtown Oranjestad, and Bushiribana gold mill. Kids especially will enjoy the Butterfly Farm, Donkey Sanctuary and Ostrich Farm.
