"Very poor quality motel."

Dirty. Fly paper dangling outside each unit. 96 degrees outdoors. Our units A/C was not working. No other rooms were available, nor portable fans. We had to check out. We were not offered a refund.

We paid for 6 days due to hurricane IDA I had to pay $609.66. We had no electricity. We wound up staying three days. We checked out and my hotel bill was only $153.

"Worst hotel I’ve stayed at."

No toilet seat, gum on the headboard, cigarette burns on the comforter, one towel, no hot water and when I asked to change rooms to get a hot shower the lady told me that most rooms didn't have hot water. She never tried to fix the problem or offer anything. Beware!

"Good value for local motel options."

Located in rural Forest MS this is a good value for the area. The site is quiet although by the intersection of I20 and Hwy35 and in walking distance to six fast food restaurants. Across Hwy 35 is Wal Mart and a little north a Holiday Inn Express which is fancier and twice as expensive; personally the price to service is higher for the Americas Best. The fee breakfast is basic and the same each day. The physical structure shows wear that is not a problem for the guest, for example some pealing paint, some cracked plastic on such as the heater air conditioning unit and exterior door molding coming loose. Tap hot water got hot quickly and the shower water remained hot without diminishing for a long wash. The motel is all single floor with easy parking directly in front of rooms as opposed to the multi story Holiday Inn with parking far from the entrances. Mostly the staff was very friendly and put in appreciated effort when my laptop only connected to their Wi Fi on a limited basis preventing Internet access.
