Hotel was great. Lindsay at the front desk was great. I booked for a large group and that was a challenge but Lindsay and Brianna were very nice and accomadating to our needs. I was concerned before arrival due to all the calls made by the GM asking about our stay but it was overall a smoothe good experience.

Property Description

The Hampton Inn DeKalb (Near the University) is open.We have implemented rigorous cleaning and disinfecting standards to battle the current pandemic. This applies to all guest rooms as well as public spaces. High touch point areas, such as elevator buttons, door handles, and other public spaces are disinfected multiple times a day to maintain a safe environment for our guest as well as our staff.Hilton is also in the process of rolling out a “Clean Stay” initiative next month which will deliver an industry-defining standard of cleanliness and disinfection at Hilton properties. Hilton is in collaboration with RB, maker of Lysol and Dettol, and consultation with Mayo clinic to develop elevated processes and Team Member training to help Hilton guests enjoy an even cleaner and safer stay from check-in to check-out. Some highlights of this initiative include:10 High-Touch Deep Clean Areas for all rooms (see attached pic) – Extra disinfection of the most frequently touched guest room areas – light switches, door handles, tv remotes, thermostats and moreHilton “CleanStay” Room Seal (see attached pic) – an extra measure of assurance by placing a room seal on doors to indicate to guests that their room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned. Contactless Check-In using your smartphone – for guests who desire to have a contactless arrival experienceWe have social distancing signage posted at various locations throughout the hotel encouraging our guests to do the same. Hotel staff is also required to wear gloves and masks at all times. The Fitness Center will be available in one-hour time slots for individual guests to use via a sign-up sheet. The fitness center will then be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected for the next guest. We also plan on implementing the same “single use” procedure for the pool, but it currently remains closed until further notice.
