The hotel Du Quai Voltaire is a small charming and intimate 3*** hotel located in the very heart of Paris. Old abbey built around 1780 by the Theatines, this building was entirely renewed and turned into a hotel in 1851. Since then, it has always been a hotel. Baudelaire lived here from 1856 until 1858 and finished to write his famous 'Fleurs du Mal'. Wagner too lived here between 1861 and 1862 and completed his opera 'The Master Singers of Nuremberg'. Among many others, Jean Sibelius, Oscar Wilde, Pissaro, Rainer Maria Rilke, Hemingway, Antoine Blondin... were the famous guests of the hotel Du Quai Voltaire. Today this small charming 3-star hotel has preserved this special atmosphere and protected this place where the soul of these great men is still hovering.From the majority of the guest rooms, you can enjoy a spectacular view of this historic and magic city of Paris, faithful to its legend.
