"This is an older motel that has been well used."
Overall Score3.0/ 5
The breakfast was VERY GOOD with lots of variety and lots of occupants partaking. Cook your own waffles hit the spot with cereals, pastries, juices, coffee, fresh fruit, fruit yogurts and more that filled me up well. (I think there were eggs as well.) Though not in a scenic setting the motel is conveniently located with fast freeway access. With lots of use over the years, this is an older motel that has needed repair, some of which is still needed. The moist ocean air has made wood, drywall and paint crack and separate and some of this has been repaired (sometimes clumsily.) Still, it was clean and somewhat comfortable as motels go. (The left side of the queen sized mattress was well used, lumpy and hard in places, but as I was alone I slept on the right side comfortably.) There was a clean pool, but I don't know if it was open as it was not the right time of year for that. For being one of the the cheapest lodgings in an expensive area it was fine (although I'm not sure what the area draw is to raise the rates so high.) With free TV and WiFi it served my purposes and if I had to stay in the area again I'd still go back, (but I think I'd ask for a better mattress next time.).
