Audits cover topics such as clean technologies, waste management and recycling, carbon offsets, biodiversity conservation, cultural preservation, gender equality, administration and planning, service quality and green marketing. If they are placed in the ground, will be replaced with new clean ones) .•We have installed water saving devices in faucets.•We have our own waste water treatment plant in the hotel, which allows reusing the water towards our grounds. •We conduct periodic audits to make sure our staff carries out good environmental practices in all departments. •We offer courses and speeches on environmental awareness to our staff. •We use biodegradable straws in our beach and pool bars.•We actively collaborate with an animal shelter in Cancun that provides medical assistance to sick and homeless animals found at the hotel or surrounding areas. •We do not permit nor rent motorized water facilities such as ATV´s in order to protect the reef barrier in our shores.
