"Cockroaches, Mold, Broken Garbage Disposer."

Yup, you read it right, cockroaches, shower mold, broken garbage disposer, and very slow draining kitchen sink. I was scheduled to stay 11 nights and left after four nights and have yet to see a refund to my credit card. At check in the reservation clerk talked so softly I could hardly hear her. After asking her to repeat herself more then several times you would think she would have spoke up but no. I was traveling with my little dog and she told me it was going to be an additional $150 for the dog. She said she could add the charge to the card on file so I agreed. I get to my room and she calls to say the card was declined (though I was not even near the credit limit) and she would need another card. I go back to the lobby to give her another one, she then says "oh, I see the problem, I didn't enter the charge to the card as a digital card payment". Fine, back to my room. The first few days/nights were okay, garbage disposer not working, okay, slow draining sink, okay, mold in the shower, I can live with it but the last straw was the cockroaches. On Sunday when I got up I went to Starbucks where I always use a recyclable cup which I had rinsed out and left on the counter the night before. In the morning I grabbed the glass and headed to go get coffee. When I got back to the room, after taking a few sips on the drive back, I put it in the microwave to reheat. When I pulled the glass out something was floating on top. I scooped it out and there was a COCKROACH! Immediately I assumed it was from Starbucks though I have never seen an unclean Starbucks in my life and I went back to complain. However, when I got back to the hotel I went into the bathroom, clicked on the light, and there's ANOTHER COCKROACH!The next morning when I exited my room there was a cleaning lady at another room. I asked her if there was a maintenance person on the floor that could fix the garbage disposer or should I tell the front desk. The cleaning lady looked at me and said she didn't know what a garbage disposer was! Really! I explained it to her (as I was explaining I was wondering then why housekeeping did not "test" the disposers as part of their cleaning ritual). I went to the front desk to ask for another room and aired my complaint. I had to wait, the desk clerk was outside smoking a cigarette. She switched me to a room on the first floor. I gathered everything from the 1st room to go to the 2nd room. The room looks fine, I just drop off my stuff and leave. The door to this room looks like someone has taken a crowbar to open the door and now does not shut properly without it being slammed. I left to run some errands and decided to check out of the hotel. Once again, the desk clerk is out smoking a cigarette. I ask her if I'll be reimbursed for the days I'm not staying and she says I have to call customer service. You would think reimbursement would be a no brainer considering everything wrong with the room and the COCKROACHES! I can't even begin to tell you about the outside of the property. It was atrocious. So, now over a month later and numerous phone calls I am still waiting for reimbursement. NEVER will I stay at a MainStay Suites again even if their prices are the lowest.
