Hotel Metropol is a luxurious five-star hotel with a unique architecture located in the heart of Moscow. It has been built in 1901 on the initiative of Savva Manontov, the famous Russian industrialist, merchant, entrepreneur, and patron of the arts. The best architects, artists and sculptors of the late 19th century and early 20th century took part in the creation of this outstanding monument of the Russian modernist style. The treasury of Metropol includes hundreds subjects of antiques, invaluable works of art of the 18th and 19th centuries. Rooms and corridors of hotel are decorated with picturesque cloths and sculptures of various eras and styles. At the same time Metropol is a modern hotel equipped with state-of-the-art amenities and all things necessary for high-quality work and rest. Location The hotel is located in the center of Moscow, only three minutes' walking from Red Square, the Kremlin and the Bolshoi Theatre. In close proximity there is a State Duma of Russia, the main sights of Moscow, business centers, the largest shops and shopping centers: GUM, Central Department Store, Okhotny Ryad, Tretyakovskiy Proezd boutiques.
