The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Manhattan is the newest hotel in Manhattan, KS. The hotel opened April 30, 2015. Nestled in the Flint Hills, about 15 minutes from Ft. Riley and an hour west of Topeka, it is located at the gateway to Manhattan. The Holiday Inn Express was built in the newly developed downtown area of Manhattan, KS. The hotel is near local dining, shopping, and attractions, including the Flint Hills Discovery Center and the Manhattan Conference Center. This Holiday Inn Express is the first Holiday Inn Express in the United States to open with its new design. The hotel was awarded InterContinental Hotels Group 2015 New Development Design Award. The modern decor has been very well received, as demonstrated by the exceptional online reviews.
