The hotel is 1 block from the Airport and less than 1 mile from the bypass which makes traveling anywhere in the area simple. We are within 5 minutes of downtown Des Moines, Interstate 35, Drake University, The Iowa Events Center, Wells Fargo Arena, Hy Vee Hall, Des Moines Civic Center, The Des Moines Convention Center, Priciple Park, The Legacy Golf Club, and Grays Lake. Lots of places to eat nearby, across the street from Casey's, my favorite for pizza. Room was clean and comfortable. Soap was provided for the sink and bathtub and it smelled so good. There is a coffee maker. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a very nice and quiet hotel. The housekeepers keep it very clean. The staff was very friendly to us. We travel with a very very old cat. The staff was very accommodating and understanding. We will gladly stay here again.

At the Des Moines Airport Hotel and Conference Center by Best Western we take great pride in providing our valued guests an upscale hotel experience at a Best Western price. Our property has recently been named one of the nicest Best Western hotels in the United States. Our beautiful hotel has 140 sleeping rooms including: 3 Suites, 1 Luxury Suite, 2 Whirlpool Honeymoon Suites, and we also have 8 Banquet or Conference rooms to accommodate up to 450 people. Every one of our sleeping rooms include: a complimentary full hot breakfast buffet for each guest, a microwave, mini-fridge, NEW plush pillow top mattresses, FREE high-speed wireless internet, room service options, and cable television with HBO and pay-per view movies. In addition to the amenities inside the room, guests also receive access to our huge heated indoor pool, hot tub, on-site fitness center, and FREE 24 hour airport shuttle that will take you and pick you up from anywhere within 5 miles. Attached to the hotel is Bennigan's Grill and Tavern which serves as the perfect location for any meal. Our Bennigan's is not like every other Bennigan's you may have been to. We offer happy hour daily from 4pm – 7pm, LIVE Music on Saturday's, a special menu created by our executive chef as well as the traditional menu.
