Tropicana Field is home to Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Devil Rays and was opened in March 1990 but, at that time, was known as Florida Suncoast Dome. This $35 million facility became known as the ThunderDome in 1993 before finally being renamed Tropicana Field in 1996.
