This place is awesome love the grounds. Only thing is where is the Hot Tub! Just needs a Hot Tub and it would be perfect.

This was a surprise find online, newly renovated and reopened last fall (2023), it was a former Christian retreat and it still reflects that calm energy, the owners keeping the original chapel for potential weddings. The grounds are spread out on the mountainside, adjacent to the creek and accessible by scenic newly landscaped walking paths. The newly built steakhouse, salad bar and full service bar is a great gathering place with ample space inside and outside as well, under the canopy of trees and overlooking the creek. We met lots of interesting folks. I learned from one guest that the name derives from Lily Rock which is named Taquitz Peak on topographical maps. There are views of this famed Idyllwild mountain peak from various spots on the property. The folks, Monty and his staff are friendly and the place is a great respite. We will surely be going back, maybe reserving one of the historic Quonset huts which date back to the '20's and '30's during wartime….
