Property Description
Named for the surrounding Cherokee tribe that call this precious sliver of the mountains home, Snowbird was a labor of love from the very beginning. It took three years to take Snowbird from concept to completion, throughout which grand plans were made for a bright, airy, mountain retreat, furnished with native woods and local stone.
In the 80-or-so years since Snowbird's opening day, the Lodge earned its place on the Register of National Historic Places by offering guests a refuge from the bright lights and frenzied pace of the city. There are those that have been arriving faithfully to their home-away-from-home for years on end, and those who arrive because they've heard whispers of that storied lodge, up in the mountains—where awe-inspiring adventures await those willing to make the journey.
