We've stayed at this particular Hampton Inn twice now once for a family Thanksgiving two years ago and this time for my father's funeral. The staff and management went above and beyond both times for us. The first time, my dad was already sick and my wife was waking up by 3am. The person at the front desk had coffee ready in the lobby when she wandered down looking for some. They were willing to chat with her about dad,too and we appreciate the friendly, helpful way they supported her as she worried whether he'd be able to participate in the festivities. This time, the air conditioning in our stopped working on our second to last night. When we got back to the room after a dreadful day of looking through my dad's things (we live in NC and won't be back until December when I can take off from work again this year), the room was hot and muggy. The evening clerk was efficient and helpful and immediately switched us to another room just a few doors down. We had been told that morning to just turn the A/C down to 66° and it would cool the room, but it didn't work, so there again, they tried to make things as convenient as possible and prevent a room change during a stressful time. After another stressful day, we came in to another clerk (I think, we were tired) and asked if we get a partial refund for the inconvenience of having to switch rooms at 10pm the night before. We explained about our exhausted state and the funeral trip. She said management was out for four days, but took my number and said they'd call. The next morning, the receipt for our stay was texted to me and the night had been refunded. My wife and will always stay at the Hampton Inn Ild Bridge when we're in this area. The service can't be beat, from Nico in the breakfast room, who cooked a special order of eggs for us, the Jory at the front desk, who got sleeves for my wife's coffee cups and put lids on them so she wouldn't burn her hands, the customer service is just outstanding. We can't say thank you enough for the outpouring of kindness from the staff here.
