LED Lighting - 100% of all indoor lighting is to be provided by LED lighting fixtures and bulbs. Towel and Linen Reuse Program - Hotels are required to offer all guests a towel and linen reuse program via approved/branded (if applicable) in-room collateral, signage, texting or electronic communication based on brand standards. Towels and linens are to be replaced every THIRD day of a multiple night stay unless guest requests more frequently. Housekeepers should replace towels left on the floor or visibly soiled linens/towels as needed and linen and terry must be replaced after EVERY checkout. Towel and linen reuse program can be offered in conjunction with "Housekeeping Upon Request" program as listed below. Housekeeping Upon Request - Hotels are required to participate in the "Housekeeping Upon Request" program which allows stayover guests to determine if they want daily housekeeping service. Communication for this program includes in-room collateral or text messaging service via a post check-in message. Recycling - At minimum, hotels are required to offer at least one (1) recycling receptacle which is in plain view for guest use in hotel common area for any of the following recyclable items: newspaper, glass, plastic or aluminum. The bin must be professionally labeled in words or symbols clearly indicating its purpose for collection/disposal of appropriate recyclable items. Energy Collection and Measurement Tool - Hotels are required to fully participate in and utilize the Energy Collection and Management (ECM) Tool. Water Saving Guest Bathroom Fixtures - Hotels are required to at minimum provide the following types of water saving guest room fixtures: 1. Water Saver Shower Heads - all shower heads are required to be 2.5/gpm (9.5/lpm) or less 2. Guest Room Faucet Aerators- all guest room and bathroom faucets are required to have aerators installed which limit flow to a maximum of 1.5/gpm (5.7 lpm). Single Use Guest Room Plastics - Hotels are required to use sustainable guest room items as per brand Rules and Regulations. At a minimum this may include bulk amenity items and coffee cups. Paperless Check-Out - Hotels are required to offer all guests an emailed copy of their receipt through the Property Management System in lieu of a paper copy.
