The Independence center is approximately 1 mile south of University Hospitals Regional and 1 mile south of Top Golf Cleveland.
Spring is an excellent time to visit Independence because the weather and the temperatures are both mild. Most of the winter snow has melted by April, and average high temperatures are around 60 degrees. By May, the average highs are in the comfortable upper 60s. However, rainstorms aren't uncommon during these months, so check the forecast before you leave, and pack an umbrella as well. Also, keep in mind that summer tourist season starts at the end of May, so hotel prices will begin to increase at that time.
Summer is the most popular time to visit Independence, which means it's also the most expensive. While you'll have to pay more because hotels increase rates to take advantage of the summer crowds, you'll also get to experience the best weather the area has to offer. From June to August, the average high temperatures are in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Fall is another lovely time to visit Independence. Average high temperatures from September through November are typically in the 60s and mid-70s. Not only is this a great time to enjoy all the outdoor activities throughout the area, it's also the best time to take in the brilliant shades of the fall foliage. While September tends to be the wettest month in Independence, that rain can turn to snow in late November.
If you don't mind snow and low temperatures, the time between December and March is the best for getting a good hotel deal. While highs are usually in the 30s, and lows get into the 20s, you won't have to deal with crowds of tourists. The area does have popular winter festivals during these months, and most indoor attractions stay open throughout the winter, so you'll never run out of ways to stay entertained even when the weather is chilly.
Whether you're searching for special packages, or you want to save some money on your next trip, you can find good discounts on Independence hotels. For example, check out Hampton Inn & Suites Cleveland/Independence, where seniors 65 and older, AAA members, and AARP members can save 10 percent off the best available rate. Or, if you're able to book your stay in advance, you can save up to 15 percent off your hotel rate.

The hotel features a free airport shuttle, indoor pool, fitness center, spa tub, and free wireless internet access in the public areas.
No matter which hotel you choose in Independence, you'll have plenty of fun activities to fill your time while you're there. If you want to enjoy some time outside, travel to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This 32,950-acre park preserves the rural landscape between Cleveland and Akron. There are numerous hiking and biking trails throughout the park that will take you by rolling hills, caves, waterfalls, and the winding Cuyahoga River.
On the other hand, if you'd rather enjoy the action of the city, Independence is conveniently located directly between Cleveland and Akron. In Cleveland, take some time to tour the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and see exhibits that showcase everything from instruments played by the Beatles, to clothing worn by Michael Jackson while he was on tour. In Akron, stop by the Akron Zoo and see over 700 animals. Or plan a day at Akron Art Museum and view art produced from 1850 to present day.
Regardless of what you'd like to see and do when you visit Independence, you want the perfect hotel for your stay. Whether you're looking for an affordable room, a mid-range hotel, or luxurious accommodations, Independence has the ideal hotel to fit your budget and meet your needs.
