Drove to Henderson from Lake Las Vegas for restaurants/meals. It's about 15-20 min. drive in traffic.
Great shopping opportunities close by the hotel. Lots of convenient restaurants. Close to the soccer fields; we were there for soccer tournaments.
Henderson isn't nearly as busy as staying at a resort on the strip. Very low key. Loved it!
Henderson was nice. It was a lot calmer with a lot less traffic than Vegas; has casino options as well. Lots of restaurants and stores to eat and shop. Close to Las Vegas if you want to do that.

The Sunset Station is right across the street from the Galleria Mall and near a host of other shopping and dining locations. Had a wonderful time exploring the area and came home with some nice purchases.
