What is the best time to visit Enterprise, AL?
Farming remains key to the region's identity, with a lively farmer's market kicking off in March and running through the December holiday season. Each March, Enterprise also hosts the Piney Woods Arts Festival — a great way to welcome spring with art as vibrant as the early azalea blooms you might start spotting around town.
The warm southern climate enables an active outdoor lifestyle throughout the year that is perfect for cyclists, runners, walkers, and those fleeing colder climates up north for the winter. Enterprise residents head to Johnny Henderson Park Trail on beautiful days to walk around the trail, watch the ducks swim on the pond, and enjoy a picnic or barbecue. It's a great place to play a game of soccer or let the dogs loose in the dog park.
Of course, if you're in town on the way to the beach, you might stop into Enterprise simply for the excellent golfing. There are several 18-hole golf courses and clubs in the region, and you can play the greens here all year long. However, the Alabama summers are notorious for their high temperatures and humidity. If you plan to visit in the high summer months of June, July, and August, it is wise to tee off in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid peak sun exposure. Plenty of hotels here also offer outdoor pools to entertain the rest of the family.

Why sense of unity is so strong in Enterprise, AL?
Enterprise's citizens have always pulled together with pride, even inventing a town slogan in the early 1900s when times were hard: “Pull for Enterprise or Pull Out.” This sense of unity carries on to this day. The people of Enterprise grew to be grateful for the hard times, which endowed them with fortitude against bad harvests and adversities of all kinds. This is the sentiment behind the town's monument to the boll weevil (a pest which destroyed the town's crops in the early 20th century). You can visit the monument, the only one of its kind in the world, at the corner of Main Street and College Street.
Arts and culture lie at the center of life in Enterprise. Despite its small size, the city plays host to significant theater, music, and other entertainment acts drawn in by the Coffee County Arts Alliance. Southern Broadway Dinner Theater also draws visitors back again and again with its wining combo of quality productions and delicious food.
Civil War enthusiasts and other history lovers should make a point to visit both the Depot Museum (housed in a historic train station) and The Pea River Historical and Genealogical Society Library.
