Calumet is nice
The whole area is historical and beautiful. Natural streams, creeks (locals pronounce “cricks”). Much varying ethnicity. When copper mining was a boom and the sandstone from Jacobsville quarries was shipped all over for beautiful architectural masterpieces in both mansions, churches, cathedrals and commercial buildings. Many, many survive to this day.
Local bars & shops. Close proximity to the Quincy Mine & Houghton/Hancock.
The rooms very nice and spacious, Staff was great.
