Trinidad is located just north of the New Mexico border and Raton Pass. Trinidad was a stop for the Santa Fe Trail and the home for trappers, traders and ranchers in the 1800s. They also have a Western art gallery. Trinidad is the starting point for the Scenic Highway of Legends, a scenic and historic drive over passes and through villages.

Main Street is great. Great coffee and snacks at Mutiny. Hwy 12 over to Walsenburg is a terrific beautiful drive. Stop in Cuchara at the Dog Bar for great food.

I love the way Trinidad is renovating the Main Street. I got the sense of community coming together to revitalize the beautiful historic buildings. One architectural gem after another, so much to value and save. I like the park and accessible river walk close by, a sense of friendly well being, the mountain views, happy shop owners, art galleries and creative public art. Keep up the good work!
