"What Is the Ark Encounter All About?" By Brooke Williams, Travel Writer

The Ark Encounter is a creationist theme park in Grant County, Kentucky, that opened in 2016. In the center of the park is a life-sized representation of Noah's Ark based on the flood story in Genesis in the Bible. The Ark is 310 feet long, 84 feet wide, and 51 feet high. The encounter is operated by Answers in Genesis, or AiG, a young Earth creationist group that also operates the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, just 45 miles away.
