'What sense would it make to man to not answer the call of bravery of spirit? What essence of life does one extract from hiding from the fate?

These are the famous words written by Ausias March in one of his now antiquated poems. Known for having a shrewd insight of life and a keen understanding of people's behavior, March was among the best known names in the Golden Age of Valencian Literature, and a long-time resident of Gandia.

As it turns out, Gandia has been home to many luminaries who have enriched the lives of fellow men and women with great works of art and science. But that being the case, it's rather surprising that not many people are really aware of the kind of natural beauty and serenity that Gandia houses within its city limits. So, it becomes only obvious that many people tend to let the opportunity of visiting Gandia pass by, simply because they don't know what lies in store for them!

Located not too far from a better known city of Valencia, Gandia is a beautiful coastal city that celebrates the laidback life of the Mediterranean. It lies on the fames Orange Coast (Costa del Azahar) of Spain, where beaches are usually covered with a peculiar layer of orange-ochre colored sand.

We are, however, all for discovering new places and providing a platform for underrated tourism destinations that have immense potential. So, we are quite a bit thrilled to present this quick rundown of Gandia hotels, tourism, weather and what to expect when in Gandia!

Cheap Lodging Options in Gandia

Any tourist who has taken the mantle of travelling the world in body, soul and spirit would know that the biggest hurdle on the way to exploring various places and cultures lies in the possibility of it all in terms of money. Tourism is a costly hobby to have, and to make things happen, tourists are always on the lookout for options that can save them a good deal of money. Be it cheap hotels or low airfare carriers, compromising on some convenience can often go long way in keeping the tour budget healthy. Keeping that in mind, we are presenting a quick analysis of various cheap hotels that can be found in and around Gandia.

La Rochera comes out on top in this segment, more through its convenient and central location than through anything else. It enjoys close proximity to many beaches, as well. Cheap nightly prices starting from $65 make sure that you won't be splurging too much of money while staying in the beautiful city of Gandia.

Infante is a more traditional lodging option. Located right in the heart of the city, it is a grand hotel with over 140 fully furnished rooms that are spacious and comfortable.

Luxury Hotels, Resorts and Spas in Gandia

Not many tourists would contest the claim that every coastal city that tries its hand at tourism is sure to have a handful of luxury resorts where tourists can unwind and relax, even if it means spending hundreds of dollars every night to avail that luxury.

That's why, one isn't surprised to see that Gandia houses about ten such five star resorts where amenities abound and luxuries overflow. If you are planning on visiting Gandia anytime soon, staying at one of these posh hotels in Gandia can help you add a lot of flavor to your trip.

Boutique Hotels and Independent Villas in Gandia

There's a norm among various Mediterranean tourism hubs that those who wish to get the most out of these places in terms of enjoyment must stay “ even for a short while “ at one of the boutique resorts or even better, independent villas.

Of course, these are often costly, with prices per night trumping those offered by luxury resorts. But in the end, the deal is deemed to be worth it all by many tourists. If you have a penchant for going all out when it comes to enjoying a trip, you can surely explore one of these options.

Villa Florencia Casa Rural Gandia is a perfect representative of this category. It is a beautiful and tranquil mini village of villas built just for the enjoyment of visitors. Living in one of these villas is as good as it can get “ at times, even more luxurious and lavish than all the extravagant hotels in Gandia mentioned earlier!

Top Tourist Attractions in Gandia

Gandia is not that big on sightseeing, much like many Mediterranean cities. The best thing to enjoy out here is the liberty of catching some warm rays while relaxing on the unique orange sand beaches.

History buffs can visit the Palacio Ducal de Los Borja “ a five centuries old palace of the erstwhile Duke of Gandia. It is a magnificent building that is a great example of high European architecture and engineering. The palace is duly supported in beauty by its magnificent gardens and a mini-museum that puts on display various artefacts and artworks from the rich history of the town.

Apart from this, there's not much to see here. Adventure seekers can hope to get a lot out of Gandia, though. With its tranquil water with just about enough activity due to underwater sea currents, surfers can expect to spend long hours out, riding the waves nonchalantly. Other water sports like boating and sailing can also be enjoyed. Tourists should keep in mind, however, that these activities where you are required to 'hire' props are usually expensive.

Gandia Weather: All You Need to Know About

Gandia manifests a very stoic weather distribution throughout the year. Temperatures usually tend to be in the bearable region (never too cold, but much too hot during summer months).

Rainfall in this area is quite limited and scattered around the year. There is no particular rainy season that can drive tourists away. Humidity levels are usually in the high 90's, as is expected due to the proximity to the sea.

Gandia hotels fix their tariffs in accordance with weather conditions, with summer months usually going for sky-high prices.
