The Killington center point is around 3 miles east of Pico Mountain at Killington Ski Resort and 4 miles north of Killington Ski Resort.
Killington is beautiful throughout the year. It's green and lush in the summer, offers a riot of autumn colors in the fall, and is covered in snow in the winter. The town throws a Fourth of July celebration and fireman's barbecue. The day begins with a book sale at Sherburne Memorial Library, is followed by a parade, and ends with food prepared by the fire department. More festivities follow, including a belly flop contest, live music, field games, and fireworks display. The River Road Concert series is free on Thursdays throughout July and August and is held at the Sherburne Memorial Library. Killington also hosts a Duathlon in the fall. In the winter, you can compete in the 5K snowshoe race.
