Valdez is a town located near a long, narrow fjord in the Prince William Sound. It is known for its stunning scenery and outdoor activities. At one time, Valdez was home to two weekly newspapers, the Valdez Star and the Valdez Vanguard. In 2004, the Vanguard was bought by the Star.
