Baker city is a great town to visit we have stayed there many times.
It was a great place to visit shops, and use as a home base to come back to after the Hells Canyon scenic byway drive for one of the days we were visiting.
The staff was very helpful.
Loved the downtown and riverwalk. It was beautiful and peaceful! I could definitely live here!
Hotel was a great place to stay clean friendly and up to date.
Lot of history in this town. Love the Sports Bar in town!

Visiting the Oregon Trail Interpretive center really made our trip.

Directly across from the hotel is a Love's Travel Plaza.
We walked through the historic old town. We enjoyed seeing the old architecture. Sweet Wife Bakery was a great stop before this walk. Then we enjoyed a long walk along the Powder River. And, finally we visited the Oregon Trail Discovery Center. This was a very well done museum.
Our timing was poor for enjoying the area. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, museums and antique stores were all closed so we focused on enjoying the hotel!

The streets are lined with art and the museum is a great place to go check out.
I sure did appreciate the nearby dog park and the creek that ran thru it.
Baker City was a pleasure to stop at. We enjoyed the historic district. The kids loved finding all the animal sculptures around town and there were plenty of dining options. One of the best stops on our trip!

Quaint feel of the town. Animal displays were something to behold. Give someone an inch in a review and they'll take a proverbial mile: Add some old west displays like cowboys, stage coaches... Surrounding mountains panoramic.
