We have stayed here many times before and have always been faithful guests two to three times a year booking multiple rooms for basketball tournaments and I have to say my experience has slowly went down hill to the point after this stay I will no longer book at dolphin inn. Tvs didn't work, the lady at the office was nice and tried to fix it but it ended up being the electrical socket in the wall. We let that go because we ended up getting one TV to work. Time for bed we have no blankets, pillows, sheets for the fold out sofa. We go to the office and they hand us one sheet. Me and my husband took the sheet and gave our children the blankets. When paying as much as we did everyone should be comfortable and accommodate to the number of guests that's advertised for the room. For instance if the booking says sleeps 6 then it should sleep 6. Our room basically slept 4. The beds are wrapped in hard plastic and is very noisy and uncomfortable. Maintenance is just horrible and I get it staffing is hard to come by. I am the most understanding person you will meet but this is very disappointing. Also how about fix the smoke detectors. Loud chirping all night is very nerve racking. I guess it's time to do business else where.

I had room 1102 on the top floor .I reserved a room for one night on Memorial Day for me, my Fiancee and our four month old daughter.She took a shower and found four roaches in the bathroom .After they was found we was in fear of them crawling on us while we was sleeping .I told front desk that I seen them and the woman rolled her eyes like I was lieing.I was told I was gonna get 10% of my money back but I doubt it .Never again will I stay here and I hope no one else even thinks about it unless you are homeless.This place is a dump !

Carelessness to say the least. Double beds are small. They didn't provide blankets. The sofa bed was dirty haven't been clean in months or years behind where you lay your head. Towels were dingy with stains. It smelled bad in the room. Parking wasn't plenty. Abandoned cars with shattered windshield in Parking lot. No toilet paper or soap and during Covid in lobby bathroom. Painted walls Incomplete. Ceiling was peeling. They really don't care about this hotel. My family and I will.

The room was large enough. Balcony door did not lock. Floors were dirty. Door screeched when you opened it. Parking was terrible.

The first night there on Thursday, April 24, we were in room 701. My son woke up at 4:00 in the morning to the ceiling leaking all over him, which was from room 901's toilet over flowing. I called down to the front desk, which someone answered from the Boardwalk Hotel. I asked if I dialed the wrong number and she said no, that all calls go to the Boardwalk Hotel after hours. She said there was no security during the week. Finally after 45 minutes of someone coming up to our room to see the leak, I told them that I am not staying in this room. So two and a half hours went by, and then we were moved to room 103. I also said that I should get my money back for the inconvenience of the ceiling leaking all over my son and for moving to another room. When we moved to room 103, it was dirty. That night, Friday, April 25, and Saturday night, April 26th, I got five and a half hours of sleep for two days because of the partying from other people in the hotel; screaming all through the hallways and parking garage, banging on the walls, throwing beer bottles and garbage off of the balcony. My family and I planned a three night trip to Virginia Beach because my son was marching in the Norfolk Parade with his high school band from Pittsburgh, PA. Unfortunately it was our worst vacation trip experience ever because of the hotel stay. It was a nightmare. I would never recommend the Dolphin Inn 1705 Atlantic Avenue Virginia Beach. First of all, they need better security at this hotel. How on earth can you let people roam the hallways and the parking garage all night and scream? We felt like we were barricaded in our room because of all the commotion for the three nights we stayed there. The pictures they have hanging up in their office of the hotel room and the swimming pool are very deceiving. The rugs had stains all over them, bathroom walls were filthy, living room sliding glass door was filthy, and swimming pool water was dirty. Dolpin Inn's Mission Statement is "Exceed every guest's expectations every time through a guest-centric philosophy." That didn't happen. Moral of the story is never stay at the Dolphin Inn, Virginia Beach.

All of our spacious suites are oceanfront with private oceanfront balconies,4X5 Jacuzzi tubs, fully equipped kitchenettes. Each suite can comfortably sleep 6; the bedroom has two doubled beds and the living room has a sleeper sofa. There is a rooftop enclosed heated pool with adjoining sundeck and on-site laudry. Parking is complimentary.
