FOR STARTERS when I called on Thursday to make a reservation, the woman helping me made me cry. After 30 min and three declined cards, I was openly crying when I told her, "Three separate cards, all with money on them, are being declined. The problem CAN'T be on MY end." Then the woman goes, "oh. looks like that room has already been booked." She then quickly booked me a MORE EXPENSIVE room, raced through some scripted closing spiel, then hung up on me. No apology, no offer of a discount for the inconvenience, no opportunity to ask to speak to a manager. When we checked in on Saturday night, the bed in our room had clearly been already slept in. We went to the front desk for a new room and got DOWNGRADED to a single queen bed. Again, no apology, no discount, no refund, NOTHING. The hallway right in front of our door was dirty with what looked like cake frosting smeared into the carpet (we had to step OVER it to get in our room). Next time, I'll just sleep in the airport.
