We weren't in town much, (no need) but we did have lunch in town that was good. (I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the place now)
Mattoon is a fine place, with both chain restaurants or stores, and local places, including the original Burger King.
Humm!🤔🤔🤔 It has more places to eat than my little town that has 1200 people in it.
Large variety of things to do and see. Good food choices and like the original Burger King.

Many places to shop with an old time downtown.
Mattoon had a number of interesting stores.
Nice place to stay for the State Track Championship. It's about ten minutes to the stadium.

A variety of restaurants available near by. A Sonic drive in a few miles south on Route 121. Nice town.
Can't say much here as our activities were in Windsor, Il. We did enjoy dining at McQuarters and watching NCAA Basketball games.
