"Won't stay here again."

I like to get away from the house so I book a hotel room once or twice a month. I have been staying at different hotels in the area to find the one that I am most happy with. At $129.00 a night for a kitchen I thought it would be fun. I usually stay at Howard Johnson for $109.00. But I thought the kitchen would be fun to use. First thoughts when I pulled in: why is there a "Law Enforcement" only parking spot? I know the area isn't ghetto, but there are residents that hang out in the front smoking and just hanging out. I checked in at 3:00pm with Rocio at the front desk. Rude! At least fake a smile or try to be happy that you have a job. Found out there is no pool but don't really care it's winter. It smells in the lobby. Got to my room, no towels. Immediately noticed that there wasn't an oven. Smells very musty, no hair dryer, no amenities (soap, Kleenex, nothing). Bed is just as any lower scale motel. Room is a nice size with a nice TV. Wi-Fi is free and a good speed. Only thing technological that I didn't like was there aren't any good channels on TV. No local channels (2-13), one "movie" channel, and literally the rest sports and world news! For what I'm spending I at least want some good TV options in my room. Hotel is quiet which is what I love. I called to request a late checkout which is at 12, they said no problem. I got to sleep wake up at 9am didn't even bother checking out the breakfast options. Normal check out is at 11:00, so I got a knock on my door at 10:50 asking if I was checking out. I told her at 12! I would say this was a nice hotel but it needs to be ran a little more efficiently. For the price of a room I expect some amenities and happiness for the staff.
