This hotel has undergone renovations and I was quite impressed. Although it is an older property, the contemporary upgrades really caught my eye and I was very impressed. I was greeted by the General Manager and she was extremely accommodating. The Hotel is a Platinum Award Winning hotel for the fourth year in a row by Choice Hotels and they have received TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence as well. It is kind of tucked away off of the main road, but it was quiet and convenient to shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel offers a full breakfast buffet daily included in the rate. The breakfast area was warm and comfortable. This is a smaller hotel, with 67 rooms. The exercise room was next to the breakfast area and had a window overlooking the outdoor swimming pool. A nice gazebo area was adjacent for picnics. The rooms were very cute with splashes of green accent walls. The rooms had all new linens, also a refigerator, microwave, flat screen television, iron, ironing board and coffee maker. They were very spacious and warm. The rooms have a couch which I was advised will be replaced very soon with new couches. The bathrooms were upgraded and had granite counters. The hotel has a small meeting room adjacent to the breakfast area, and they can accommodate small groups up to 30. I can highly recommend this hotel to those looking for a nice quiet three star hotel in the Lake Norman area. I am glad I visited this hotel, as it is a nice little hiden gem.
