The best time to visit Woodstock is during the shoulder seasons, which would be April and May along with September and October. During these months, the weather is a bit milder. If you are opting for warmth and sun, aiming for May or September is ideal.
If you want to catch the beautiful changing colors of the fall foliage, definitely opt for September or October. On the other hand, those seeking blooming flowers and the tranquility of the rivers should aim for a springtime trip.
Throughout the year, Woodstock is home to a variety of community festivals and events, so you're bound to find plenty to do regardless of when you visit. However, you should always pack lots of light layers, including a raincoat just in case.

The Sackville Fall Fair is a favorite among locals, running at the end of September and featuring a weekend-jam for all ages.
