"Zesty Beach Town"
San Sebastian is a zesty beach town beside the Bay of Biscay, along the Atlantic Ocean. A promenade stretches the length of the city with a lovely wrought iron railing painted a charming white. Although I could never get sick of the beach, to switch it up one morning, I hiked up to the statue of Jesus that stands on a hill close to old town for some exercise and picture perfect views of the bay. The city center comes alive around dinner time, which in Spain isn't until nine or ten o'clock. Make sure you indulge in the legendary pintxos (tapas) at every restaurant.
