We've stayed multiple times at the English Inn and we like it very much. It's got a larger than average indoor pool and it's close to a lot of things in Charlottesville. And for many people the best part is that it is next door to BODOS bagels. Having said that their included breakfast is excellent.

While it's not fancy it has many, many pluses. Great location. Personable staff. Clean rooms. Large indoor/outdoor pool. Nice exercise space. Yummy cookies at tea time. Quiet, tranquil spot by a fire. Overall, great place at a reasonable price.

Excellent place to stay, five stars.
From check in until we left, everything was perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room. Lots of breakfast options and plenty of seating. Cookies and hot tea in the beautiful lobby when we checked in we're a nice touch.
