Environmental Responsibility Policy – NOMAD Hotels At NOMAD Hotels, environmental responsibility is at the core of our approach. Aware of our impact on the planet, we implement concrete actions to reduce our ecological footprint and promote sustainable tourism that respects natural resources. Certifications and Environmental Goals The NOMAD du Havre is already certified with the European Ecolabel, recognizing our commitments in energy management, waste reduction, and the use of renewable resources. Our goal is to certify all our establishments with the Ecolabel by 2025. Water and Energy Management - Water: Rainwater is collected to supply toilet flushing, and intelligent showerheads limit water consumption without compromising comfort. - Energy: Energy recovery systems are in place, along with low-energy bulbs equipped with motion sensors. Equipment automatically switches off after guests leave the room. Solar panels and heat pumps are used to generate clean energy and optimize consumption. Responsible Practices & Waste Management - We collaborate with a local zero-waste caterer who uses glass jars and organic, locally sourced products. - All fruits, vegetables, and jams are organic. - Recycling bins are available in common areas and rooms to facilitate selective sorting. - No individual packaging is used at breakfast or in rooms, reducing plastic waste. - Organic waste is collected and repurposed through local partners, including support for the Restos du Cœur charity. - We use eco-friendly cleaning products and chemically untreated linens. - Our Green Stay rate encourages guests to limit linen changes in exchange for a discount, promoting more responsible stays. Sustainable and Recycled Materials - Showers and sinks are made from 90% recyclable mineral powders sourced from quarry residues. - Flooring and furniture crafted from oak and birch are PEFC/FSC certified, ensuring sustainable forest management. - Carpets are made from recycled fishing nets, paying tribute to our Breton roots. - Some tables are crafted from recycled badminton shuttlecocks, highlighting our commitment to circularity. Soft Mobility and Eco-Responsibility We encourage guests to use public transportation and aim to obtain certifications that promote ecological travel, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of every stay. By integrating these initiatives, NOMAD Hotels offers a modern, comfortable, and eco-friendly hospitality experience aligned with today's environmental challenges.
