Below are reviews of the city of Yoakum, TX from an actual visitor's perspective.
I would recommend Central Station for both it's diverse menu and awesome staff. The Grand theater has re-opened and looked beautiful. Still has balcony seating. H&H is still around and makes a hearty breakfast but beware of the baked goodies they are lethally delicious! Don't count on any of the ones you plan to take home making it unless you put them in the trunk. The smell alone is intoxicating. Yoakum has become somewhat gentrified over the last two decades. They have always had the best H.E.B (grocery store) but now they have TWO dollar stores. The hospital still provides outstanding care should you be unfortunate enough to require medical attention during your visit.
