When should you visit Victoria, Texas?

Victoria has a subtropical climate, which means summers are incredibly hot. If you plan to visit the city during July and August, expect average temperatures to reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit. It can regularly reach over 100 degrees. It's a great time to visit the city if you want to explore the different museums and enjoy inexpensive hotel prices. It's much quieter in the area as tourists want to avoid the heat and humidity.

One of the most popular times to visit southeast Texas is during the winter months. In January and February, the weather is still warm, but the humidity is much lower, and you can easily enjoy all of the outdoor activities in the area. This means that the hotel prices tend to rise and the tourist attractions are much busier.

If you want to enjoy cooler temperatures without the hefty hotel price tags, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons. April, May, October, and November are much cooler than the middle of the summer, but you can still experience days that reach up to 90 degrees. You can enjoy the air-conditioned museums during the day and shopping along the historic Victoria Main Street once it cools down in the evenings.

What hotels offer the best discounts in Victoria, Texas?

AAA members will love the discount available at the Quality Inn & Suites. If you show your AAA membership ID at check-in, you can receive up to 10 percent off the regular room rate. It's conveniently located less than three miles from the Victoria Regional Airport and is also within the vicinity of the Children's Discovery Museum.

Your stay at the Quality Inn & Suites includes a complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Every room has air conditioning, a refrigerator and microwave, and a 42-inch LCD television with cable programming. Be sure to spend some time by the outdoor pool or head to the fitness center to run on the treadmill.

The Courtyard by Marriott Victoria also offers an excellent AAA discount. Show either your AAA or CAA membership card when you check-in and you could get up to 10 percent off the price of your room. It's a wonderful hotel that is connected to a shopping center and is only a short drive away from the Victoria Paddling Trail. The Courtyard has nice amenities like a health club, an outdoor pool, and a spa tub. There's also an on-site restaurant, bar, and cafe so you'll never go hungry or thirsty during your stay.

If you are visiting Victoria with a large group, check out the Baymont Inn & Suites. Depending on what time of year you want to visit the city and how many rooms you need to reserve, you can receive up to 35 percent off of the individual room rate. The hotel is nearby the Texas Zoo and the Riverside Golf Course, which is in nearby Grand Prairie, Texas.

Baymont Inn & Suites also has plenty of amenities to enjoy. Your stay includes a complimentary continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and the use of a fitness center. The hotel also has ample free parking, so there is plenty of space for all of your guests or for a coach bus.
