My grandson attends ULM College there. We get to tour the campus every visit and we have enjoyed several of the restaurants. We're planning on coming back to spend a week so we can tour the city.

Monroe was not what I expected but everyone was very friendly, loved the highway and how easy it was to get everywhere we needed. Especially loved the restaurants near the Quachita River.
We had traveled by car from New Hampshire for a grand-daughter's wedding. In addition to enjoying the ceremony itself we attended planned events at Cottons, and the River and Rail restaurants on the bayou. Good food and peaceful surroundings. Having a mall handy may well be a plus for many. And the local coca cola museum is unique.
