The Belle Fourche center point is about 12 miles north of Lookout Memorial Hospital and 12 miles north of Black Hills State University.
Below are reviews of the city of Belle Fourche, SD from an actual visitor's perspective.
We came to Belle Fourche to go to the Geographical Center of the USA to rededicate our country as One Nation Under God on May 17 in conjunction with the Rededicate 250 event in Washington, DC. The monument with all 50 flags is well done.
Belle Fourche is a beautiful town with old towne charm and plenty of activities. The surrounding area is steeped in old west history and offers more outdoor activities than you could immerse yourself in even if you stayed for weeks. I fell in love with this part of South Dakota and will return in the near future.
8th Avenue Bakery has great pastry!!
Belle Fourche is a nice place. I was there for a wedding at the Silver Spur Ranch. Stayed overnight.
Belle Fourche is a relaxing, friendly and growing small town in a wonderful part of the world.
Great Mexican restaurant. Easy to access roads heading west and east.
We were just there for a quick stop on our way to our destination. It was a fun 10 minute outing to stand at the geographic center of the country. It also had a small town grocery store which was convenient for restocking a few of our supplies.
