The Broken Bow center is approximately 10 miles north of Mc Curtain Memorial Hospital and 10 miles north of Museum of the Red River.

In 1951, Snowden Miller wrote a book about Gene Autry and the Badmen of Broken Bow. The city was also represented in a pilot episode of the television series Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) and the episode "19:19" of the television series Millennium. It's a small city with good shopping and restaurants and you're not far from the lake which is beautiful place!
