Quaint western town with local shops!
We liked the river trail in Sacajawea Park.
We have stayed in Livingston on and off for 12 years. We have family in Minnesota and we drive to Livingston on our first of three days going back there. Easy on and off access.
Definitely worth a visit. Livingston has winds like no place else on earth, according to the literature there, other than in Russia. Must be seen/felt to be believed.
I lived in Livingston for 9 years. I plan to come back again soon to stay

Glenn's Restaurant!
The Comfort Inn & Suites in Livingston is located next to Highway 89 which goes straight to Yellowstone National Park and is the main road from the north entrance to the southern part of the park. It takes an hour to drive from the Comfort Inn to the Park's northwest entrance. Yellowstone is a large park and from the NW entrance to the Old Faithful geyser is an additional hour and a half drive. There are roads going off to other areas within the park. There are many great things to see in Yellowstone and this means that you could end the day's visit two or more hours of non-stop driving back to the exit with another hour's drive back to the hotel from the Park entrance. The road to the NE entrance passes through a couple of small towns and some beautiful scenery along the way. Passenger cars with up to 4 adults (including driver and no extra charge for children 16 and under) currently pay $35 for a 7 day pass to Yellowstone - those continuing on to Grand Teton National Park which is adjacent to the southern border of Yellowstone have to pay a separate $35 fee per car for a 7 day pass to that park. People aged 62 and over can currently purchase a lifetime pass for $80 which allows them and passengers of any age to enter Yellowstone and most other National Parks and most other recreation areas managed by the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service without paying any additional entrance fee (the holder of the pass must show the pass and his/her drivers license but doesn't have to be the driver or even the owner of the car).
